Cloe Mifsud
Cloe's affection for the Maltese Islands comes from her ancestors. Her father was born there, and she was named for her
Maltese grandmother. She visited these islands for close to twenty years before moving to Malta in 1995.
She reflects..."I just couldn't get enough of the place! There was so much to learn, to see, and
to feel - the neolithic temples, history, natural beauty, and the Mediterranean way of life."
Originally from New York City, Cloe has worked in the travel field for many years, first as Social Directress for American
Export Isbrandtsen Lines passenger ships ssConstitution and ssIndependence , followed by starting her own travel business
Safari Superlative, organizing small-group photographic safaris to East Africa.
A graduate of the Spence School and Finch College in New York, and Duke University in North Carolina, Cloe holds degrees in
Art
History and Psychology. |

Jim Sims
"Moving to the Mediterranean was one of the best things I've ever done - it's right up there with deciding to purchase my first
computer" says Jim Sims.
Known to his friends as 'sims' (lower case), he has been developing software for
individuals and small businesses for more than a decade, and is the author of several well-known shareware applications,
including iBirthday and Kartolina.
His accomplishments also include building websites for various artists in New York
City and Malta, and designing/implementing the IT strategy for a 1996 US presidential
candidate. Always 'an entrepreneurial type', sims has been self-employed since leaving Boston College a few light-years ago. A
lover of history, cooking, and good conversation
(not to mention a glass or two of good red wine)...enticing aromas of exceptional gastronomy emanate frequently from his
medieval farmhouse in the center of Victoria, Gozo...where the vegetables are always fresh and the locals are always
friendly.
