European Revolution Conference 14-15-16 November 2004 Valletta, Malta Revolution... is the multi-platform software development tool that enables developers to easily and quickly create powerful applications for Mac OS X, classic Mac OS, Windows, Linux, and popular Unix systems... with native look and feel on all platforms. |
| Personal profiles of Rev scripters Malte Brill Malte became hooked on computers very early in his life, he was only eleven years old. "My first Computer was an Amstrad CPC 464 - yes the one with a tape! It changed my whole life. When other kiddies played outside I darkened my room and enjoyed the world of my Comptuter. I got into doing BASIC on my Amstrad and did quite a few nice things. A Sinclair ZX Spectrum followed. Later in my life I bought an Atari ST and coded GFA and Omnicron basic there. I got into Electronic Music and bought an Amiga and some Synthesizer racks. If you want to hear a little track I did visit www.derbrill.de/fun/byebye.mp3 As I wasn't making any money with my music I became a cook. I always liked good food as one can see in my photo!" | ![]() |
![]() | Malte continued, "After a heavy car crash that changed my life completely I got back to making music, joined an Audio Studio and went the hard way. I had only one musical release that made a bit money. I couldn't continue working as a cook, so I needed to do something else. I became a Mediengestalter Bild und Ton...what could be translated to media designer for audio and video." |
| "In 2000 I bought my first Mac. A G4-400 that I am still using. Looking for a cheaper alternative to Director when I set up my own one-man company I discovered Rev 2002. Having no Hypercard background at all I bothered the list with really silly questions when I started and trained myself every day. I grabbed all tutorial stacks I could find and learned. I used the Rev starter kit which was wonderful as it trained me coding efficiently. What can you do with only ten lines of code? ALMOST EVERYTHING! I wrote Rev reviews and tutorials for the German MacLife Magazine and did quite a few nice projects such as uGrabIt and yibbah and some other stuff that I could have never done without Revolution." |
|
Malte's latest release is libRMC a powerful Multimedia library for Revolution
that brings ease of use to developing animation with Rev.
Malte Brill will be presenting at the European Rev Conference, helping you on your learning path. |
